That’s exactly what we’re going to do today with our lead qualification with ChatGPT guide.

With the enormous quantity of leads you can generate using various techniques, the overwhelming task of sifting through them is ridiculous.

It requires a lot of work.

…and it usually takes ages to finish them off.

Just in case you haven’t chanced upon it yet, lead qualification is the process of assessing possible clients based on their financial capacity to buy and their inclination to buy your product or pay for your service.

Interestingly, this process will also identify your lead’s needs and how much they would be willing to spend on them.

In some cases, the lead qualification process will help you determine early on if your prospect belongs to the right industry you are targeting. If yes, then this information will come in very handy as you can assume that your brand will greatly benefit from that prospect.

In the sample output we have included below, we are using the BANT framework, which stands for Budget, Authority, Need, and Timeline.

This simple framework will allow ChatGPT to score your leads based on specific details on the potential client that you will provide.

It may sound like a lot of hard work in the beginning, but it will get easier as you do it over and over again.

As you can see, we’ve kept it simple but gave you ample room to add any (or all) details about the prospect you’re working with.

The Sample Output

Using the BANT framework side-by-side with the details you will input about your potential lead, ChatGPT was able to generate very interesting scores on this particular sample prompt.

As you can see, it has the ability to identify which elements belong to the components of the framework.

Also notice that it provides its own insights and recommendations, details which will help you greatly in getting to know a specific potential client better.

You will immediately see if your lead is a good candidate. If not, ChatGPT will also reveal the same.

It will also zero in on the most important need of the client and comment on the timeline if the information needed to determine it is available. In this case, since the timeline is not clear, it only gave an insight regarding the possible interest of the client.

Finally, it also recommends what would be the ideal next step. A phone call? Email? Or face-to-face meeting? ChatGPT will help you ask the right questions by giving sound recommendations that will help you weigh your options.

Where to Go from Here?

The first thing you need to do is choose which framework to use in your prompt, whether it’s BANT, FAINT, or whatever else you choose, get started on your framework. If you’re using a custom framework, then input the framework’s scoring system in the prompt.

Keep your list simple and straightforward. Use bullet points. There is no need for a lengthy narrative.

Don’t worry about improving your prompt as you progress. You can always change it and generate new responses on ChatGPT until you find the right combination of elements that will give you the information you need the most.

Review the scores thoroughly and determine if they make sense to you. With the right kind of information, the likelihood that you will get apt responses will be very high.

Rolling out massive lead qualification for the first time can be overwhelming, but it’s absolutely critical to the success of your sales team.

Integrating ChatGPT into the mix allows you to maximize your time and automatically know which leads to prioritze.
